In an exciting new partnership Cabline will be providing some free taxis to the East Midlands Air Ambulance. The use of taxis is rare for The Air Ambulance service, but on occasions they can be operationally critical in allowing a stranded member of the air ambulance crew, who for whatever reason are not able to travel with the helicopter. Air Ambulance Base Manager Philippa Gibbs explained “We were looking for a solution that made booking fast response taxis across the large area we operate an easy and quick process. We approached Cabline and were impressed with their credentials and capabilities, which meant we were doubly delighted when Cabline also offered to supply a number of taxis free of charge along with plans to carry out further fundraising initiatives.”

Cabline have now nominated the East Midlands Air Ambulance as one of its adopted charities and Cabline will be organising fundraising initiatives throughout the year. Business Director Steve Madge commented; “The Air Ambulance provides a crucial service to the community and it is with great pride that Cabline can both assist the operational efficiency of their service by providing taxis to transport their crew members, but also adopt them as one of our chosen charities. We will look to set an ambitious target for fundraising over the next 12 months, with the goal of increasing it year on year.”

We meet with the Air Ambulance on the 14th Feb and plan to do some publicity and photo’s with their marketing people.
